VACUUM PUMP for turtle tank ???????
Is there such thing as some sort of vacuum pump for a turtle tank?
I want to change the water of my turtle tank, but it's suuuuch a hassle removing the water by using a pot and going back and forth to the sink literally 20 times atleast. It's so frustrating.
I really think I've heard of a vacuum pump before. It would be so much easier to have one when changing the water. Yes, I have a filter, but sometimes my turtles get sooo dirty (you turtle owners know what I'm talking about).
Where do you get vacuum pumps??
And how much are they usually?
I use a bilge pump to start a siphon and dump the dirty water into 5-gallon buckets to be carried away. In theory, you could siphon the water out a window into the yard. This might not be a good idea if you are on an upper floor with neighbors who like to sunbathe in the yard.
