Ants attacking!!..................?
Em little buggers are pissing me off. First they took over my Coffey maker. They entered threw the bottom air holes and somehow managed to get to the water inside or they moved in there. Cleaning it got it broken. I bought a new one and they are crawling around it too not inside yet. In a digital clock i had on the floor i opened up the emergency battery area cause i saw some ants there and omg there was lots of eggs there. and ants. Since when do they love electronics . I have filtered brita water and Coffey maker in my room. Is there any way to make it ant proof? Or make a uncrossable barrier?
These are called pharaoh ants or sugar ants they are attracted to switches in electrical appliances and will go to the contacts of the switches looking for sugar because ozone give off by the switches has a sweet smell. They live in small colonies inside your home. They can be as many as 80 colonies in one home. Use Terro Ant bait follow the instructions and keep it out to make sure you kill all colonies or call an exterminator. The southern states are the only states they live outside the home.
