Warming filter for color film?
If I wanted to use a filter to give a warmer tone to my pictures, but without completely overdoing it and making everything have a heavy orange tint, what filter would you recommend? Maybe a light orange filter, like what was used to color-correct tungsten film to shoot outdoors in daylight?
I would be using normal color negative film. This is just for an experiment. I would probably try it with Kodak Gold 200. I realize that modern color film is already balanced for outdoors and using a filter is going to make the pictures look weird, but I just want to experiment with different effects. (Without completely overdoing it).
Any ideas?
The most common warming filter for use with film is the 81A, it's the lowest in that color. The 81B is a bit darker orange, and 81C is darker than the B. You can find them online: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/22384-REG/Hoya_520128_52mm_81A_Color_Conversion.html
I recommend the 81A.
