Problem with installing Spectre cone Air filter?
Earlier today my cousin and i installed a spectre cone filter on my 1998 honda accord ex. We simply cut the hose connected to the filter box and took the box out. We made sure not to pull out any wires or anything. Once the box was out we securely clamped the new cone on. Problem being...once my car is started it is constantly reving. it is as 3000 rpm. Were thinking it could be something with the censor, but we unplugged the censor started and then plugged it back in, in attempt to reset it. Can anyone help me out?
Due to cone not being on properly? or a hole in my hose?
It was not that model but I caome across a similar issue in a GM barina, where if the vehicle ignition was cycled with sensors unplugged it went into a "limp home mode" and revved its butt off. Needed codes cleared on GMs Tech 2 Machine. Maybe a trip to Honda?
