Which is more energy-efficient: on demand hot water for tea or kettle?
Hello,
I work in a small office, we have 20 employees. In our kitchen we use a heatray sadia supreme 140 (instant electric hot water with dispensing tap) to make cups of tea/coffee. We normally make cups of tea in rounds (typically, 5-8 at a time) rather than individually.
Would it be more energy-efficient to use a kettle to make cups of tea instead?

I would think the hot water tap would be more energy efficient than a kettle, but the difference would be relatively small compared to your total energy usage of the office. Go with what is most convenient and wastes the smaller amount of the staff's time.
