Do you know basic and/or in depth coffee words?-I need help!?
I'm appying for a coffee making job and the employer sent back saying that I need to be interviewed for the job. Thing is I don't know the first thing about coffee!(-I love fruitboxes)
Can anyone teach me coffee terms? Does anyone have the perfect coffee making routine?
Pleaseeeeee I need help!
*The job isn't only making coffee, that's just part of the job.
Honestly, coffee tends to be one of those kinds of things that people can be very snobby about (only liking it a very specific way, and they order it in very complex terminology). If you "don't know the first thing about coffee", then I'd say that a job at a coffee shop might not be ideal for you.
But your best bet is to be honest. Show up for your interview, and say that you're really excited about the job, eager to learn, and want to do everything you can to serve the customers. Be HONEST about your lack of knowledge on terms and techniques, though, because it will definitely show when they let you loose to make some drinks.
